If it worries, you, you can disable this behavior - go to Settings>Active Protection>Web Shield>click on 'customize' and tick the box next to 'Disable HTTPS scanning.' If you do this, avast won't be able to proactively block malware on HTTPS sites. On Feb 27 we started seeing a spike in Cloudflare 520 errors, indicating an issue with our web server (or so we thought). The notifications are all the same and come in pairs(two at a time), I have tried following this guide with no luck ( ) I have avast Free Antivirus installed on my laptop (every option is default, I have just reinstalled Windows and avast after that), and Web Shield will occasionally block Internet connection: can't access any pages in browsers, can't use skype, can't use P2P software and can't even update avast. Just like what is described in these two topics ( & ).Īs in the other posts my laptop restarted itself last night and since then whenever I have been connected to the internet I keep receiving notifications from Avast saying that a threat was blocked:
